I love old movies about Erie. We’ve featured them a few times in our weekly YouTube of the week, and this week is no exception.

Doug Boldt sends us this 5 minute clip of the Erie Yacht Club in the 1950′s. according to Doug, many current members appear in the video as kids, including Jack Shultz, Gary Boldt, Rich and Doug Loesel, and Fritz Curtze. He’s been going through his grandfather’s old 8mm movies and has found quite a bit of Erie stuff. I hope he’ll post more in the future.

If this doesn’t make you ready for a summer, especially considering our recent North Pole-esque temperatures, nothing will.
