Erie YouTube of the Week: Blizzard Edition

The big blizzard has come and gone, but the good people of Erie are still dealing with the side effects of the winter’s biggest storm. Some side streets still aren’t clear and many cars have yet to be freed from their plow-induced tombs.

My tip for you: make friends with the people in your neighborhood who have a snowblower. Two times this weekend different neighbors of mine stopped by to help, and it was much appreciated.

For those of you not from or in Erie, we got dumped on – the news reported some areas in the city got over 24″ – in 48 hours. Here are some videos from around the area showing the snow and its effects. I like the train that plows the road for the residents in Cambridge Springs.

In North East, where I live, we have a sno-cat on tracks which is used to plow miles of sidewalks in town. I don’t know what Cambridge Springs uses, but sometimes the best tools aren’t necessarily the biggest!

Ok Sinatra in the background could not have been more appropriate in that second video! “Heaven…I’m in heaven!”

Hey, he ran the stop sign!
