Where in the above comment that I posted did I advocate giving Ms. Rhodes a lesser sentence? Let’s play a fun game called “jumping to conclusions.” Both crimes are abhorrent but also have their differences. Concealing a pregnancy by taking the life of a child is in fact different than knowingly swinging a four week old infant at your significant other. BOTH women have some psychological issues, IMO. Your comment about the “white and well-to-do” would be appropriate IF Ms. Rhodes is in fact treated with kid gloves in this trial. If she’s not, then I guess I’ll expect to hear a daily diatribe on this site.

I think her race and her family bank account is the story.

She’s being treated like a victim. Get her help, but give her decades behind bars in which to get it.

Chytoria Graham was sentenced to 5-10 years in prison for swinging her 4 week old baby like a baseball bat at her boyfriend. And it looks like Teri Rhodes will get probation and time on a psychiatrists couch for taking the life of her baby.

“She is white and her family is well to do.”

Would it matter if she were African-American, Asian, or Hispanic? Would that have to be explicitly pointed out? It didn’t fit in the context of what was posted and seems like another illegitimate blow to this girl. She did what she did and she has to face it for the rest of her life. Allow the justice system to do its job and quit throwing cheap blows at her. Quite frankly, it doesn’t belong here.
