The Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied Susan Porreco’s appeal to review her denied claim that her former husband, Louis Porreco, voided their prenuptial agreement. Susan claimed that since Lou gave her an engagement ring that was a cubic zirconium and not a diamond (as she believed, and supposedly worth $21,000) that the prenup was void. If she was successful, she would have collected more than $1 million in a divorce settlement instead of the estimated $50,000 for 14 years of marriage, as determined by the prenup. Lou Porreco, what a guy!

Fort Wayne, Indiana residents Nando and Jennifer Villagomes came home one night in June to find that part of their roof missing, damaged by 90 m.p.h. winds. They submitted their claim to Erie Insurance who later denied their claim stating the shingles on the roof weren’t properly installed. Apparently nails holding the shingles in place that were installed 8 years ago were too high. That a faulty construction loophole clause will get you every time.
