Did any other neighborhoods hear loud explosions [4 or 5] around 5:30 PM yesterday[Saturday 10/11]?!?!?! What were those??? Everybody on my block was out looking around! It's a mystery! Theories– Gannon alumni weekend celebration, Brig Niagara testing cannons, industrial accident, idiots playing with explosives?!?! Appreciate anybody having verified explanation of this occurence. Thanks.

  2. Just wanted to comment that I LOVE the look of your site. Very easy to navigate, read and comment. 2 things I can't do without…my morning coffee and ErieBlogs!

Just an f.y.i. follow-up on my earlier comment/question about the explosion-like noises on Saturday…Thanks to Dennis, who told me, that they were cannon fire from the Cushings/Taylor Battery at the Gannon ROTC dedication of a plaque on AJ's Way in recognition and honor of Gannon ROTC alumni who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms and lost their lives on active duty.
