Gov. Palin Visit Details

Governor Sarah Palin, running mate of Senator John McCain, will be in Erie for a rally on Thursday, October 30.

The event will be held at the Bayfront Convention Center and should get underway abut 3:15 p.m. Get there early, but remember due to other events that day and weather, the Governor may be delayed. The doors at the Convention Center will open at 1:15 p.m. Here’s a map and directions to the site:

Tickets will be available starting Wednesday morning at the Erie County Republican HQ on W. 14th Street at Union Station.

There’s quite the lively discussion going on in our previous blog post about the visit.

I'm grateful we still live in a country that is “FREE” to hear the rights of others. I'm grateful she is even coming to Erie to share her hopes and dreams for this country. She is “FRESH” blood and deserves a chance. Was LBJ qualified when President Kennedy was killed? But he filled in and didn't do too badly. Come on ya all, give her a chance to prove she has it! At least we know she has the stanima to raise a precious gifted child and to withstand all the critism along with Saturday Nite Lives “funnies” about her!!!

I know the event is free but does anyone know if the city will be charging for parking? I'm going to assume they will treat this like any other event and charge 5 bucks per car? They said the expect around 8,000 people.. If you average 2 people per car that's still around $20,000 for the parking authority.

Of course I'm leaving town at 9am on Thursday!
