There were McCain ads, but extremely few and far between. As for "negative" ads, it stayed to local races.

With that said, I was happy how it turned out. I voted for Obama and I went to the Obama rally last night. The thing that made me extremely happy was none of the chatter (at least around me) had anything negative about McCain. It was purely about being happy that the candidate we supported appeared to be winning. I was also happy to see how no one made a peep when they showed McCain's speech and everyone clapped at the end. I think everyone was just ready to celebrate.

And you better believe I found out everything I could about the Erie area elections. All and all, both here and there, I was pleased how everything turned out. Now, let's see what really happens come January.

As a former Erie resident and current Chicago resident, my take on the election was much different than probably what my family experienced in Erie.
