All the events are fine for everyone that lives there – but I am wishing you posted some of the local news stories on Sundays like you do the rest of the week for those of us who live elsewhere who used to live there – Thanks

When we made the decision this summer to publish a weekend News and Events edition (Satruday and no Sunday) we weighed a number of issues (see the Sept. 5th announcement here). The major reasons include: (1) weekends are slow news days and publishing on Sunday was rather skimpy, (2) readership on the weekend is much lower than the weekday traffic, and (3) it gives Mike and I a day to take a break. Weighing all those factors it just was not worth putting the time and energy into a Sunday post. That isn't to say we won't resurrect a Sunday N&E but it is unlikely.

Thanks for the answer – all good valid reasons – I have tried to read goerie.com – but the times sucks and the site is awful to navigate – I learn more about my previous home from erieblogs.com that i can at the times site –

I am sure many people appreciate your efforts.

    How about “Carhardt Bart”

  6. John says:

When are the local TV stations going to get it right? Last night Secret Millionaire wasn't in HD. Half of the time various shows on various channels start in HD, go to local commercials, and someone forgets to “push a button” to go back to the HD feed. No wonder I hardly watch anything on the big 3 anymore.

goerie.com does stink. About the only thing it's good for, I find, is searching for an article I read previously from the newspaper at work :p
