Great Places to Sled in Erie

We did some sledding this weekend, which is just about the only activity that’s fun in this weather (plus it was either shovel the driveway or sled, easy choice.) As I was surfing around the web last night, I found this comic by xkcd. Not much to do with Erie, but it was cute.

So, I put this question before you. After Frontier Park, where else is a good place to sled in Erie? Also, if you’ve got a favorite sledding story, post it in the comments.

My sister was sledding once at Frontier and just kept going and going and eventually ended up in the creek. Needless to say, that ended the day’s sledding, much to my chagrin.

We lived on a hill, so good sledding could be had right in our (and our neighbor's) yard. Plus we lived on a dead end, so you could even use the street most of the time.

We also used to go down to Chestnut Hill school a lot. Anybody still go there?

I grew up in Harborcreek and we always would make our way to Behrend's hill to sled.

We've been sledding behind Strong Vincent before. Nice hill, with the added bonus of stairs going back up!

Not yet, I don't know how well the sledding is since they put the bus turn around at the bottom of the hill.

The hill behind the science building at Behrend is a good place too. Yay xkcd!
