I once had an English teacher who forbade us to use the word &quot;IS&quot; in any form the entire school term in our writing assignments for his class and each use lowered your score.   Quite the challenge.&lt;br&gt;I, too, long for sunshine, warmer temperatures, green sprouting up from the snow ....Oh, Spring!
