This week’s blog post of the week comes to us from Your Boro: Edinboro News blog, which is a newcomer to ErieBlogs and deals mainly with news and events in the Edinboro area.
On Tuesday, Your Boro wrote about General McLane refusing to play games at Erie City Schools following the shooting at East High School during a basketball game against Harborcreek. General McLane superintendent Alan Karns made the decision to pull out of sporting events held in city schools, and the blog post examines if this was the best course of action.
General McLane is way off on this one. While East High may be pinned as a “violent” school (which is really sad, considering Al Roker was there once) this does not increase the chance of violence at any other inner-city schools.

Considering the shooting by the Wurst youth several years ago – Perhaps this decision is not appropriate – I realize the shooting was not at the school, but it involved a GM student and wasn't the victim a teacher.
