This week’s blog post of the week relates very closely to the news this week of layoffs at GE Transportation.

Jim Berlin is CEO of Logistics Plus. GE is, in Jim’s words, their “#1 customer,” and he talks about how are all in this together locally. We bet a lot of local businesses will see an effect in their bottom line from people who have lost their jobs and may be moving out of the area.

Now we will also face the tough times with them. Times not of their making, and unavoidable. The whole world is in the same boat. Nothing they could have done differently. But together we will survive and come out the other side of this even better than before, sharing our combined expertise and experience and ingenuity to help each other get better/stronger than either of us could have imagined or that either of us could do alone.
