Doodle of the Week: Stimulus Plan

2009-02-19-daily

Artist Chris Shroeder has this to say about this week’s doodle.

Normally I don’t draw political cartoons (mainly because I’m not THAT into politics), but I feel rather strongly about the Stimulus plan being passed this week. Of course America is looking in sad shape right now, but an instant fix is only a temporary one. Why the rush? Are we really in a bad enough state? According to the Wall Street Journal, our economic figures aren’t even close to those of the great depression.

In this doodle, I relate the quick fix to the Credit Card. Sure, they give instant relief–for about 30 days.

The only thing the stimulus plan did was pass the debt once again to all of us, the taxpayer. Yea! Great job of our newly elected officials – none of whom did I vote for.
