YouTube of the Week: Jacobs Family on CBS Early Show

We’ve blogged recently about the Jacobs family, who are suing Hamot Hospital. Their son, Gregory, was injured in an accident at Peek N Peak and was taken to Hamot. The family contends Hamot and CORE intentionally killed their son in order to harvest his organs for transplant. Hamot has claimed no wrongdoing.

The family appeared on the CBS Early Show on Monday. Here’s the video.

I feel awful for the family but after watching that video I can't help but feel that the parents are looking for someone to blame for the death of their son, especially the father. It seems that Hamot did the right thing, verified in part by the district attorney who found no criminal wrong doing as well as two separate professional organizations who found that all procedures were followed.

  2. edgy1 says:

This is what happens when unscrupulous attorneys take advantage of grieving relatives and turn them into money-grubbing litigants. Guaranteed the lawyer will take the biggest share of the money, if this case should somehow make it to trial.

  3. Eden says:

Is there any way or place to read online any legal documents about the case? Hawk is curious about who's named in the suit, having worked for Hamot for about a decade.

  4. Richard says:

You read my mind. See today's post (3/18/2009) for a copy of the complaint.

  5. I wrote up a post about some of the legal issues in this case. You can see my post here:

  6. Development of digital technologies occurs prompt rates. Does not lag behind progress and digital TV. Speaking about digital TV, we first of all mean satellite TV. The digital satellite TV becomes more and more accessible to simple users. The market paid satellite tv also is not necessary on a place. The new digital standard of TV of high clearness HDTV actively develops and takes root. The satellite TV becomes more and more directed on the spectator. Besides digital quality of the image, advantage of satellite systems also is also the extensive cover zone of the companion.
