The 2009 season is just 13 days away and today, the SeaWolves are proud to announce the 2009 promotional schedule. 2009 is the 15th season of Erie SeaWolves baseball at Jerry Uht Park and the promotional schedule is full of events dedicated to the anniversary celebration.
15th ANNIVERSARY SEASON EXTRAVAGANZA
The popular SeaWolves bobblehead series returns in 2009 with a new twist. This year’s bobblehead series features three players from each of the three eras of SeaWolves baseball. From the Pittsburgh Pirates era, the first 1,000 fans on July 24 will receive an Aramis Ramirez bobblehead; from the Anaheim Angels era, the first 1,000 fans on August 7 will receive a John Lackey bobblehead; and from the Detroit Tigers era, the first 1,000 fans on August 21 will receive a Curtis Granderson bobblehead.
In addition to the bobblehead series commemorating the 15th anniversary season, on Opening Day April 8, the first 1,000 fans will receive a special 15th season commemorative magazine featuring highlights and stories from each of the 14 season in team history. On June 23, it’s the 15th Season Anniversary Game with a commemorative T-Shirt, magazine and all-time team poster giveaway. Also, every Thursday home game once again features THROWBACK THURSDAY. The ‘Wolves will don powder blue uniforms in honor of the first four seasons in team history.
FIREWORKS FEVER
Fans told us, and we listened! Our spectacular fireworks shows are among the most popular nights of the season. In 2009, we will feature SEVEN fireworks shows which is the MOST IN TEAM HISTORY! Fireworks shows will follow the games on May 30, June 13, July 2, July 3, July 25, August 8 and August 29.
GIVEAWAYS
The SeaWolves pride themselves each season on exciting giveaway items and 2009 will be no different. Several staple giveaways return in ’09 including Magnetic Schedules (April 10 & 13), Schedule Posters (April 9 & 11), Team Photos with autograph sessions (May 9 & August 22) Adult Caps (June 12), Kids Caps (July 31), Kevin-John Jobczynski Lithographs (June 4 & July 26), Pink Caps as we Paint the Park Pink (May 10), T-Shirts (July 1), 2009 Team Card Sets (August 9).
ENTERTAINMENT APPEARANCES
The SeaWolves are always looking for new and innovative ways to entertain fans once they come through the gates. This season, a new traveling act, the Inflatamaniacs, will entertain fans on July 10 and 11. Country Day with a LIVE Petting Zoo returns on July 12. America’s Best Frisbee Dogs return on August 1 on Bring Your Pet to the Ballpark. Clifford the Big Red Dog will entertain kids on August 2. Margaritaville Party Nights on May 29 and July 31.

All fans receive a bingo card with the chance of winning great prizes, including autographed items, just by playing along throughout the game.
THURSDAY – THROWBACK THURSDAY
We turn back the clock once again this season every Thursday night as we commemorate the 15th anniversary season of SeaWolves baseball. Each Thursday, the Howlers will wear power blue uniforms from the 1995-98 seasons.
FRIDAY – FREEBIE FRIDAY
EVERY Friday night is a giveaway night. Fans who get to the ballpark early will receive one of our exciting giveaway items on Friday nights. From 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. the Bud Light Beer Garden will once again feature Happy Hour with drink and concessions discounts.
SATURDAY – SUPER SATURDAY
Saturdays will be filled with post-game fireworks and spectacular entertainment. Kids can run the bases after the game and fans can show their AAA card to receive $2 off Reserved Seat Tickets
SUNDAY – SCRATCH AND WIN SUNDAYS PRESENTED BY WENDY’S
Every fan coming through the gates will receive a FREE scratch-off card presented by Wendy’s. Every scratch-off card is a guaranteed winner and one lucky fan will have the chance of winning $5,000! Plus fans can play catch on the field following every Sunday game.
