Yesterday was election day. We hope you got out and voted.
Wow. Barry Grossman has won the Democratic nomination for Erie County Executive and will face Mike Kerner in the fall. Buzz Andrezeski was a didtant third – but its hard to say what his impact was over the last week in his attacks on DiVecchio and if it sent votes to Grossman. Here’s some early thoughts on the fall race from Dale Hannah.
Other races:
Dan Brabender won the voting on both sides for the Erie County Judge race.
Joe Sinnott won the Democratic nomination for mayor of Erie.
Current Millcreek Township supervisor Larry Curtis beat Sue Weber and Mike Dougherty and will face Richard Figaski in the fall.
Jim Thompson, Joe Schember, Curtis Jones, Jr. and Jim Winarski have all earned nominations for Erie City Council.
It remains to be seen if Mike makes the ballot for anything this fall, despite Josh writing him in where he could.
Full election results are available here. Results for Crawford County are here.
Gas prices are up again locally, despite falling oil prices and weak demand.

Divecchio got what he deserved. He accomplished nothing in the past 4 years. The 911 center debacle was his waterloo. He continued to keep the bunch of idiots on the hill on the county payroll inseadt of acting decisvely and firing the enitre ECDOPS management . Hope he didn't forget how to make pizza's.
The only thing Divecchio is stunned about is that he is going to have to shovel his own driveway and mow his own yard this year.
Loved the link – very funny.
