We didn’t win last night’s $200+ million Powerball, so sadly we’re back at work.

Has anyone checked out the Erie Rib Festival going on downtown? We didn’t even know it was happening.

1201 Kitchen, located at 12th and State Streets in the heart of Downtown Erie, has announced new ownership with a new menu launch next Thursday, May 28, 2009. Formerly 1201 Restaurant, the new 1201 Kitchen goes public with its new Latin-Asian menu and new name next Thursday.

The Applied Forensic Sciences Department at Mercyhurst College will welcome more than 40 participants from around the world for its annual short course series which begins Monday, June 1, with the 18th annual “Death Scene Archaeology Short Course: Field Methods in the Location, Recovery and Interpretation of Human Remains from Outdoor Contexts.”

Sports

The Penguins will face the Detroit Red Wings in the Stanley Cup Finals. The series starts Saturday night on NBC. Let’s go Pens. (In case you were wondering – they didn’t touch the Clarence Campbell Bowl.)

The Seawolves fell to Harrisburg last night 6-5. The two teams meet again tonight in Harrisburg. The team returns home tomorrow night to start a series against Akron. Game time is 6:35 p.m.

Nyjer Morgan scored the tying run on a wild pitch that led to Carlos Zambrano’s ejection in the seventh, but the Bucs couldn’t contain the Cubs late in a 5-2 loss Wednesday.

Mercyhurst College began its renovation of the Tullio Field playing surface this morning to kick off a 6-8 week project that will culminate in a new FieldTurf surface for football, lacrosse and field hockey.
