The NBA Development League Erie BayHawks are proud to lend a helping hand to Maleno Real Estate Development, the Erie-based builders who are working with ABC Television’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition to aide an Erie family.

“We are excited that the BayHawks, along with the NBA Development League and our partners at Spalding, will be able to play a part in making the Erie project a dream come true for this family,” said Matt Bresee, president of the BayHawks. “We can’t reveal too much, but are happy to say that basketball will play a part in this Extreme Makeover.”

The BayHawks will also play a role in the Maleno Family-to-Family Fund to help support on-going building and renovation projects for Erie families and neighborhoods in need. “We are currently developing ways that we and our fans can help to contribute to the fundraising efforts for these worthy community building projects,” said Bresee. “We see this effort as a perfect fit with our operational slogan to ‘make a difference’ in the Erie community both on and off the court.”

The Maleno, Extreme Makeover Home Edition project is set to start today, with the show airing later this fall on ABC TV.
