Erie PA News, Sports and Events for Wednesday, July 8, 2009

We’re a bit sluggish this morning, as we were up late watching the newly released Penguins Stanley Cup Champions DVD. It’s a great look at the team’s amazing playoff run.

We hope you enjoyed the first 8 Great Tuesdays concert held at Liberty Park. We had a question if teens are allowed at the event, and the answer is yes. If you’re under 16, you must be accompanied by an adult. The act next week is Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.

Quick note to all local businesses and especially non-profit groups. Please add us to your press release distribution lists. Our email is contact@erieblogs.com.

Jeffrey Gleason has pleaded guilty for his part in burning down the historic Gudgeonville Bridge last year. He’ll be sentenced in August. Joshua Bell, who authorities believe was also involved, still will face charges. No word if he will plead as well.
