Social Service Agencies Crunched by State Budget Impasse

I received this request from Rick Liebel, on behalf of SafeNet, Inc. regarding the serious financial crunch being felt by social service agencies brought about by the State budget impasse. Please send around to your contacts.

Subject: State Budget!

This statement was released to the media on Thursday:

Safenet has not received 90% of its operating capital from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If a budget is not passed SafeNet doesn’t have the reserves or borrowing power to keep its doors open, at this time we are relaying solely on private donations and the funding from the United Way.

“Unfortunately because of this budget impasse many domestic violence agencies across the state will have to close by mid September.”

I urge you to write your state representative and tell them to get this budget passed Visit http://www.legis.state.pa.us/ to contact them.

Thanks Rick
