We hope you had a nice weekend – the weather was pretty great though we felt a twinge of sadness as we drove past Waldameer on our way to Presque Isle and the parking lot was empty and no rides were spinning and no fun was being had.
Welcome hom to the Stryker Brigade, who returned to Cambridge Springs after spending 9 months overseas. Thank you for your service.
A woman led state police on a high-speed chase on I-79 over the weekend. The woman, from Pittsburgh, was lucky she didn’t die when the chase ended at the bridge at the Meadville exit – and it wasn’t the good bridge, it was the bridge currently being re-built. She went through construction barriers and more and was lucky the bridge had some sort of decking on it, otherwise it’s a pretty long fall to Rt. 6/19 below. Fail.
Ed Palattella had an interesting story in yesterday’s Erie Times-News about two local dentists, Doctors Kevin Sambuchino and Robert Halmi, who battling over legal and civil issues. If you’re looking for a great dentist in Erie, check Dr. Lawrence Scully on Schaper Ave. He keeps my chompers happy. Tell him Mike sent you, you won’t be sorry.
Speaking of the paper, the Erie Times-News deliveries this weekend were delayed and some things like late sports scores were not included due to issues with the printing presses. The paper was printed off site for Sunday and this morning’s editions.
The Buffalo News had a nice piece about Presque Isle this weekend. It’s always good for the park to get some press in the tri-state region and hopefully have even more people come here and spend some money.
