1024 010Is it just me, or do the leaves that keep falling to the ground seem to be much more abundant this year?   It feels like I have spent almost every day on the tractor trying to keep up with the fall out, only to look out the window to find another layer fluttering to the ground.

We’re not really complaining, though.  This is one of our favorite times of the year here in Northwestern Pennsylvania, and before we can say BRRRRR, the ground will be covered in white,  rather than the rainbow colors of Autumn leaves.

We found it very heartwarming to read the tributes to the veterans of our military services in memory and honor of their sacrifice and service to ensure that the rest of us are able to live in peace.

Another Erie County Judge, Tom Carney, has pled guilty to charges stemming from an encounter on I-79 in which he pulled a handgun and waved it at the driver of another car.  Now he hopes that being treated as a criminal will help him to be a better judge.   Say what?????

Texting while driving is likely to be outlawed if a bill currently in the State House is passed.  The bill would also bar younger (under 18) drivers from talking on a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle.   Expect a lot of cooperation from the younger generation over that one.

The Erie Otters defeated Saginaw 5 to 2 in a Wednsday afternoon game at the Tullio Arena.

Gannon University’s Golden Knight Football Team placed 4 players on the All-PSAC squad.  Senior Jon Richardson and Sophomore Randy Colling won First Team honors, while Sam Geldmaker and Matthew Neal-Mink were awarded second team spots.
