Effective immediately, County Executive Mark DiVecchio has assigned County Solicitor, Wallace J. Knox, Acting County Executive.
County Executive DiVecchio will undergo lower back surgery on Monday, November 23, and is expected to be back in the office Monday, November 30.
 According to the Home Rule Charter, in the event of a temporary absence or incapacity, a member of one of the county departments, previously designated by the County Executive as a substitute, and confirmed as such by the County Council, shall serve as the Acting Executive. The Acting Executive shall have all the powers of the County Executive.
