Montclair Elementary School, The Flying Scooter at Waldameer (I was the reason it was removed, I actually hit a tree while riding it!), the restaurant called The Mark on the peninsula, Vance McBryde, Shirley Ramsey, and Hyle Richmond every night, and who remembers Maxwell’s in the same plaza as Ferrier’s Hardware store on 26th street where you could rent a movie and watch it right there in a booth. “When the hungries hit, when the hungries hit, Hit the Red Barn.” Playing Birdie King II at the Stadium Lounge. Erie Air Show with the Blue Angels. Sled-riding at Erie Golf Course. The Penn Station hobby shop on west 8th. And lastly, before Rocket 101 was on the air, 100.9 FM was just a little old man who sometimes fell asleep while reading the sports scores!
