Don’t snowplows work better when the blade is actually touching the street? Maybe this explains our lousy driving conditions. Photo courtesy of Brian Hannah, 2-26-10.

Well they are probably thinking 3 things:
1. 12th St. is a state highway so PennDOT plows it.
2. A single plow in the passing lane of a 4 lane road like that would push all the snow in front of it into the travel lane. The cars behind him would LOVE that.
3. I’m going to use 12th St. to get to the next residential area on my route.
Point taken, Matt. Seriously, you guys have a difficult and thankless job. So even if we complain and poke a little fun your way, we really do appreciate your efforts.
