As posted on ErieBlogs previously, Google is looking to test extremely fast internet connections in select markets.

They are looking for communities to do this in and want YOUR feedback!

These comments are due close to the end of this month, so please take some time and fill out the form to show Google that Erie has great potential to be this test market!

In addition a Facebook group was created to rally support and share ideas, if you feel strongly about it please join us!  If you’re not sure what to write in your response to Google take a look at this link which has some “highlights” you can re-use if you’d like.

Also, if you have any contacts within local governments please ping them and ask for their support.  I have sent e-mails to local officials personally but, almost a week later, have not gotten one word back, not even a confirmation of getting my e-mail (dang, way to go local government!).
