First 70 blood donors today get a pot o’ shamrocks!

The Community Blood Bank is hoping people will share their luck of the Irish this Saint Patrick’s Day week by giving blood. This Tuesday the first 70 donors who come to the blood bank will receive a pot of shamrocks generously donated by Joel’s Flower Shop. And donors all week can enter to win a fabulous Saint Patrick’s Day flower arrangement ($100 value) too. Get ready for Saint Patrick’s Day by wearing the green and giving the red.

“Give blood the day before the holiday and share your luck!” Said Dan Desrochers, Director of Marketing at the blood bank; “The shamrocks are great promotion; Joel’s Flower shop is always very generous to our donors.”

All donors are strongly encouraged to donate at the Community Blood Bank, 2646 Peach Street. Community Blood Bank is open from 9a.m. 6p.m. Monday through Friday and until 7:30pm Tuesday night and Saturday 9a.m.-12:30 p.m. Photo ID required.
