If you’ll allow me, I’m going to start this post by saying I’m a little bummed. We’re selling our house today in Meadville. It’s the end of a fun, exciting journey but at the same time it’s the start of our journey out of the Erie area. It’s weird – this beginning of the end. I’ll always represent the 814 wherever I go, don’t you worry. Besides, this blog keeps me connected and in touch with what’s going on. I now can better appreciate what people meant when they’d email me to tell me they enjoy reading it.
Today is the last day of operations for Pio’s Restaurant on East Ave. If you want one last nom, I suggest you head over there today. Kudos to the staff there for providing Thanksgiving dinners to people in the area that needed a meal.

He’s challenging that signatures on Dahlkemper’s nomination petitions are not valid. There’s a hearing on them next week. We’ll keep you posted.

I can’t believe Pio’s is closing. Sad news. I ate there for years. I guess all that people in Erie want are chain restaurants with preprocessed and frozen food.
As far as the Molly Hatchet song – I think one sums up Erie, “Flirtin’ with Disaster”.
Good Luck in Ohio! You’re the man Mike!
