Wings of Hope

thumbs_butterfly_release_2009_023.jpegJoin the Visiting Nurse Association of Erie County at their 6th annual Butterfly Release, Wings of Hope, on Sunday, August 1st at Perry Square.

The ceremony begins at 1 P.M. and concludes with the spectacular release of hundreds of monarch butterflies. Proceeds benefit VNA Hospice services.

A gift of $25.00 per name will benefit the work of VNA
Hospice Services of Erie County. At the ceremony on August 1,
participants can release their butterflies themselves, or watch
as the butterflies take flight. If contributors are unable to
attend, VNA volunteers will release those butterflies at the
appointed time.

Presentations, readings and music will be provided by VNA
Hospice staff and volunteers, and family members of VNA Hospice
patients. Rev. Harry Johns, III, VNA Pastoral Care Counselor,
will deliver the keynote address.

“Wings of Hope” is open to the public. One need not sponsor a
butterfly to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn
chairs or blankets for seating.

For more information contact the VNA at 454-2831 or visit the
web site at WWW.ERIEVNA.ORG.
