Do the names John Boyle and/or Noreen Boyle sound familiar to anyone?

John Boyle was the doctor from Mansfield, Ohio who was convicted of killing his wife, Noreen, and burying her body in the basement of the house he had purchased (with his pregnant girlfriend posing as his wife, “Sherri Boyle”) in Millcreek.  If memory serves, the house was either on Wilkins Road or Wolf Road in northwest Millcreek.

Boyle was found guilty and sentenced to 20 years to life for aggravated murder, plus an extra 18 months for abuse of a corpse.

According to the Mansfield News Journal, on December 7th, he has his first parole hearing.

Steven M. Pieper of Liverpool, NY has been charged with the murder of Mercyhurst student, Jenni-Lyn Watson.  The body of Ms. Watson was found in a park in her hometown of Clay, NY eight days after she was initially reported missing from her parents’ home.

The Jenni-Lyn Watson story comes on the heels of the Jamie Malanowski-Brian Dacus murder-suicide.  At this point, it appears both stories had one thing in common… the end of a relationship.

Heartbreak sucks.  Been there, done that.  But murder?  Umm…no.  Just no.
