Gallery Night at the Erie Art Museum

Abstract thinking, glasses clinking, free admission, artist demos, tasty bites and live music combine for Gallery Night, Friday, August 26, 2011, 7-10 p.m.

Along with vibrant art displays, twelve participating galleries will also offer complimentary appetizers, drinks, and entertainment. The Museum will feature a new installation in the renovated Customs House. Other highlights include live music by Gem City Jazz Band outside the Colony Plaza, and interactive “yarn bombing” at Rustic & Refined, where knitters are encouraged to bring pre-made pieces, or help knit on-site at
the gallery to “bomb” the fence outside the gallery.

All events during gallery night are family-friendly and free to the public. The e-Bayliner trolley offers free transportation for gallery-hoppers. A trolley schedule is available at erieartmuseum.org, along with a list of all participating galleries.
