Erie PA News and Events for Tuesday August 23, 2005
It only hit 72 degrees in Erie. Lake Erie at 78 degrees caused grey clouds to form with some breaks of blue sky. It looked like September and not Summer. You could almost hear Grantland Rice typing out a Notre Dame football story - “Outlined against a blue, gray October sky the Four Horsemen rode again. In dramatic lore they are known as famine, pestilence, destruction and death. These are only aliases. Their real names are: Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Layden.”

Don’t like the fact that your school district now has a dress code? Tough. In 2001, a federal judge ruled that the Mount Carmel Area School District dress code did not violate free speech rights.
