Today is my favorite day of the year. I gain one hour of sleep. Remember to change set your clocks back.
Lori Rizzo recently joined the Pueblo, CO based St Mary-Corwin Medical Center as a nurse practitioner. Rizzo received a BSN from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in nursing with a focus as a family nurse practitioner from Gannon University in Erie, Pa.

The Erie Community Blood Bank and the Erie Otters have teamed up to host a Halloween Blood Drive on October 31 at the Tullio Arena. The blood drive will run from 10–3. No appointment is needed. To be a donor: You must be at least 17yrs old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and have photo ID. At the blood drive, all donors will be eligible to enter to win a 25 pack of tickets to an Otters game. Dress in costume and you will receive 2 entries to win. Every donor will also receive a buy one get one free coupon to an Otters game.

October 31 from 6-7 pm - Conneautville.
October 31 from 6-7:30 pm - Cochranton, Conneaut Lake, Cambridge Springs, Linesville, Meadville, Saegertown, Titusville, and Townville.
October 31 from 6:30 to 8 pm - Lawrence Park and Union City.
October 31 from 6 to 8 pm - Corry, Cranesville, Edinboro, Erie, Fairview, Girard, Girard, Harborcreek, Lake City, McKean, Millcreek, Mill Village, North East, North East, Wattsburg and Waterford.
* Finneys Pumpkinville is located at 24999 Hwy 99, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403. They’re open every day. The place is HUGE. Corn maze, etc. Their old web site at finneyspumpkinville.com is down but see this site to get an idea.
* The haunted house in Fairview is Boo-recky’s Haunted House at Borecky’s Fruit Farm, which is on Kell Road, just off of Route 98, just east of Fairview High School. It runs from 6 pm to Midnight. No pre-teens, it is actually scarry.
* Pumpkin Town USA at Mason Farms, 839 Peninsula Drive.
* The very popular Zoo Boo at the Erie Zoo.
* Halloween Hullabaloo, Halloween without the Boo at the Experience Erie Childrens Museum.
The Wayne State University football team (3-6) recorded a 14-7 victory on Senior Day versus the Gannon Golden Knights (3-7) Saturday afternoon at WSU’s Adams Field.
Quarterback Russ Harbaugh threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns to lead Wabash to a 27-21 win against Allegheny.
Brett Neller touched the ball just five times, but two resulted in scores including a 53 yard halfback option pass he threw to quarterback Mark Nicolet that broke open a close game as Hillsdale beat Mercyhurst (1-8) 40-21.
Kyle Witucki caught two touchdown passes from Justin Bouch and Edinboro (7-2) also scored on a blocked punt as the Fighting Scots beat Kutztown 33-7.
Junior Crystal Connors scored on the power-play just 55 seconds into overtime to lift Number 1 St Lawrence to a 3-2 win over No 8 Mercyhurst. The two teams are back in action today with the puck dropping at 1 pm at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
The docks at the Walnut Creek Marina are scheduled to be removed by Wednesday. They’ll be back in the Spring.
