This season the Roadhouse Theatre offers the entire family great big belly laughs for Christmas. Mrs Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge is a playful, cracked look at the perennial Dickens Christmas classic about Scrooge discovering the true meaning of Christmas through the visitation of three ghosts. In Durang’s giddy version, the ghost’s magic is off, and Scrooge and the ghost keep showing up at Bob Cratchit’s house way too early, where Mrs. Bob Cratchit – a long suffering saint in the Dickens – is in a state of fury, hating her life and planning on getting drunk and jumping off the London Bridge. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm through December 17 at the Roadhouse Theatre, 145 West 11th St, Erie, PA 16501. Admission; $5 student $8 regular, $10 riser, VIP $12.

Hello Dennis. Did you see on the news last night when Joe Walko told an interviewer that he doesn't feel firefighters should have to pay for ANY of their health insurance?

I figured you'd have mentioned this in your blog today.

I missed it. Wacko Walko might want to seek medical attention for the head injury he has obviously suffered.

Here we are at 12/31/05, still no agreement on Fire or other unions paying a small share of health insurance premiums. Hard to believe. What percentage of employees have to pay some share of health insurance costs? Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 99%! Oh well, distressed city status could be around the corner!!!!

I pay and I'm sure all viewing this post, pay some portion for health care premiums, except firefighters and other unionized positions. What makes them so special? They are not exactly in the poor house, with benefits, pay, the works. Give me a break, Joe!
