Hello Dennis. Did you see on the news last night when Joe Walko told an interviewer that he doesn't feel firefighters should have to pay for ANY of their health insurance?
I figured you'd have mentioned this in your blog today.

I missed it. Wacko Walko might want to seek medical attention for the head injury he has obviously suffered.

Here we are at 12/31/05, still no agreement on Fire or other unions paying a small share of health insurance premiums. Hard to believe. What percentage of employees have to pay some share of health insurance costs? Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 99%! Oh well, distressed city status could be around the corner!!!!

I pay and I'm sure all viewing this post, pay some portion for health care premiums, except firefighters and other unionized positions. What makes them so special? They are not exactly in the poor house, with benefits, pay, the works. Give me a break, Joe!
