Erie PA News and Events for Saturday December 3, 2005

A fire broke out at 234 W Fourth St late Thursday night/ Friday morning. A pre-teen boy is in critical condition after he jumped from a second floor window after he went back into the house to try and get his pet. I believe the rental property is owned a City of Erie firefighter. Smoke detectors were not in the proper places and did not work. I guess fire codes and information on smoke detectors aren’t available to firefighters.

The one good thing our cable company in Meadville does is show CBS stations from Erie and Pittsburgh, so if anyone wants to watch the Steeler game Sunday in high definition and not in a smoky bar, let me know. :)
