The old Koehler Brewery, Erie PA, circa 1975
The Koehler Brewery smokestack implosion is scheduled for Thursday February 9 at 11 am. If you plan on going, keep an eye on the weather. If it’s too windy or snowing like mad, it could be postponed.
I heard a funny joke about the demolition which I’ll cut down for the sake of brevity. It’s not politically correct and somewhat offensive. Remember, I’m just the messenger. It goes that to save money and get the job done completely, the demolition company will say the structure was rented to a Danish newspaper, the one that printed the Mohammed cartoons. They’ll just call and let Aljazeera know about it at 10:59 am and figure it will be down by 11:01 am.

IFP North America, Erie PA
IFP North America, also known as Innovative Fruit Processing (IFP), will be featured in the next issue of Private Label Magazine. Here’s the article. IFP should be having the groundbreaking for their plant in Erie sometime this Spring.

I think I'm going to go get photos of it, as well. Heck, I live right down the street...

I work right down the street (Near Perry Square) but my lunch hour doesn't fly with the demo time. I should've stayed home, I'm only about 8-10 blocks from that place.
