I don't think you'll ever have an attendance problem with the Greek festival; it's very successful every year. After 18 years, and at least 8 years that I can recall the event being on the exact same weekend, who needs a website? Everyone in town knows this thing takes place right around the fourth of July, and the huge signs are everywhere. I've been in Erie a grand total of one day this summer and I saw three different signs. Websites aren't always the default promotion tool; word of mouth and a long history of success are enough. People from all over western Pennsylvania will turn out for this one.

Jerry - That's the sort of knuckle-dragging, ignorant, behind-the-times, good-enough mentality that is causing business to leave the area and businesses and organizations to fail.

Actually, Jerry and Dennis, it's a moot point. ;)

The church has a web site at http://www.erieorthodox.org/ and there is a link at the top right for the Panegyri.

I do agree that not everything necessarily needs a web site, although given that the Greek fest is probably one of the largest ethnic festivals in the region, it is good that there is one. So, the issue is not that they don't have a site, it's that folks don't know that they have a site.
