Erie PA News and Events for Thursday September 14, 2006

I’d like to thank Erie assistant finance director Paul Lichtenwalter for the added business he has brought me. In a newspaper story about city finances, Lichtenwalter said the city had a $12 million deficit and would have to raise taxes and fees. (God forbid the city would ever consider cutting expenses.) I had someone who owns a house and a rental property in the city that decided to sell because the property taxes were killing him now and were only going higher.

Dennis,
Did the Erie County Fair turn a profit this year? The taxpayers of Erie County had to give the Fair a grant so I feel it is only right that we know whether or not our money was squandered. I hope you will find the answer for the taxpayers of Erie county?
