As everyone has reported Erie County Republican Chairman John Mizner has resigned from MacDonald, Illig, Jones and Britton and joined Conner, Riley and Fryling. Why would a partner, an owner, in the leading Erie firm quit and join a firm that concentrates in malpractice and “if you were injured in an accident, call us”? Wonder if had anything to do with the loan he gave to former Erie County Democratic Chairman and councilman Ian Murray?

Your characterization of Conner, Riley & Fryling (formerly Conner & Riley...and even more formerly, Conner & Associates)is a bit off and lawyers move around more than military families...even once they've become partnered. Heck, just look at all the partners that jumped ship from the Marsh Firm over the years.
However, it is odd that a staunch republican (the party that wants a cap on medical malpractice verdicts) would move to a firm that represents a plethora of plaintiffs in medical malpractice actions.
