Erie PA News and Events for Tuesday October 10, 2006
The conversations around Erie centered on Chytoria Graham and what she did to her baby. Graham used her 1 month old baby to strike her boyfriend. The baby is in a Pittsburgh hospital in a drug induced coma with brain damage. There were reports that she confessed to police. What a despicable crime. Tom Vinca, President, CEO and head liberal jerk at Family Services of NW PA, said he could be suffering from post pardum depression and alcoholism; that she needs counseling. Feel free to counsel her just before the state sticks a needle in her arm. Pumping out 5 kids at age 27 and going out drinking, getting into a fight with the father of 2 of your children and harming your own baby deserves a little more than a good talking to.
This story has made international headlines with stories being published from Pravda in Russia, Xinhua in China, Kazinform in Kazakhstan and 350 others that I counted online.
Brian has mentioned that 4 letter word - snow. It could get cold enough to snow around Erie this weekend. Brian seems to be a little to happy to report this. I can only describe it as an evil grin on his face as he’s doing the weather. If it does snow, the first snowball is going in his direction.

Bobby Ryan scored on a penalty shot and collected an assist to lead the Owen Sound Attack to a 4-2 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played this afternoon in front of 2,394 at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Marek Bartanus, Scott Tregunna and Anton Hedman scored the other Attack goals. Josh Vatri and Josh Kidd scored for the Otters. The Otters dropped their seventh straight and are almost mathematically eliminated from a playoff spot. The next Otters home games take place this Friday (October 13th) and Saturday (October 14th) against the Plymouth Whalers and Toronto St Michael’s Majors respectively.

As much as I agree that Graham should be sent straight to Hell, the comment you made about postpartum depression was unnecessary. PPD is a real, physical condition that exists and seems to be taken lightly by a large section of our country. It is a dangerous and deadly condition that harms not just the mother but everyone involved, obviously.
Graham and her lifestyle choices are wrong. At 27 to have 5 children by multiple fathers is crazy and stupid. So she is obviously not dealing with a full deck to begin with.
She should be punished and swung like a baseball bat too. No child deserves what happened to that little boy. But to minimize PPD for her is to minimize it for every woman who has dealt with it.
