The critical blood shortage affecting the region continues unabated as continued heavy blood use by local patients in need have outpaced the number of donors coming in. The situation remains dangerous for anyone needing blood to stay alive. “This is bad,” says Dan Desrochers Director of Marketing and Community Relations at the Community Blood Bank. “We haven’t seen any upward movement of the supply since last Thursday, and we are still pretty far away from Labor Day.” The Community Blood Bank is urging people who haven’t donated blood in the last year to please come in and give blood. All donors are strongly encouraged to donate at the Community Blood Bank, 2646 Peach Street. The Community Blood Bank is open from 9-6 Monday through Friday and until 7:30pm Tuesday night and Saturday 9 am-12:30 pm. Photo ID required.

Hello Dennis!
I have redesigned the Winds on the Lake web site and noticed that you had listed their upcoming concert on the Erie Blog. Thank you so much for posting that! My husband, Matthew Inkster, and Gary Viebranz really appreciate it as well. They have been working hard to put together a talented ensemble...By the way, is it possible to post a link to the new web site? The URL is: http://www.windsonthelake.com/.
Thanks again for the mention and hopefully the link as well! Have a great day!
