>>There are still broken links EVERYWHERE and "Coming Soon' notices. Fix it already. NOW.<<

Agreed... that and make the darn parcel search sortable. right now it comes up in some arbitrary order (sorted by parcel ID maybe?). Why can't I resort the list, if not why not just order it by street name?? It'd be so much easier to find the house if they were ordered alphabetically by street.

"ORDER BY Address ASC"

That and perform a TRIM on the inputs, if I enter in "1720 " please trim off the additional space that I accidentally put in. Instead the site used to balk and have you remove it, now it appears to search literally for "1720 " with no results found.

Their error page, when attempting some odd searches returns:

Under Construction

The page you are trying to view is under construction.

The next major content update is scheduled for Monday, October 8, 2007

Here's another tip for the parcel search page on ErieCountyGov..

To do a wildcard search use the percent key.

For example, looking for a road called "Pineview" I could enter a search for the street "Pine%" and it would return all of roads that start with "pine".

I received an email from the county webmaster that stated the broken links were considered outdated...so I emailed him examples of the stuff that was broken that was NOT outdated,(ie: Daily Court schedules) and he responded that they will get those back up very soon.
Sounds like they should have done some kind of "Beta test" before they went live. I hope they are working on it.
