Erie PA News and Events for Saturday November 17, 2007
Erie County Judge John Trucilla might soon be looking up at the bench. A criminal complaint was filed against him for an incident that took place on Halloween. It’ll be interesting to see what happens but it sure sounds like he took the law into his own hands. He was looking for a kid that assaulted his son. His son is a 5’ 10”, 180 lbs linebacker and running back for Cathedral Prep. He should have just called the police or filed charges, not tried to hunt then down himself. The mind of a Father overrode that of a lawyer, former Assistant U S Attorney, and current judge. The state Attorney General’s Office is handling the matter as there is a conflict as the county DA works with Judge Trucilla. He could be charged with assault or even kidnapping because he might have detained someone against his will - that’s the case with OJ Simpson. We should be hearing much more about this as his attorney, David Ridge, isn’t camera shy.
