Hillary Clinton Visit to Mercyhurst College Draw Heat From Bishop Trautman, People for Life

You didn’t have to be a modern day Nostradamus to know that the Hillary Clinton visit to a Catholic school would draw some sort of response. Erie Roman Catholic Bishop Trautman announced that he was canceling his appearance to speak at the upcoming Mercyhurst College graduation in protest of the college allowing a pro-choice candidate to speak on campus. And People for Life, an area pro-life organization announced they will hold a demonstration in front of the school and handing out picket signs beginning at 4 pm. I don’t know if the decision to speak at Mecyhurst was a calculated move or not, but Clinton could announce that she personally found little green men on Mars and it will be drowned out by the abortion issue.
US Senator Hillary Clinton will make a campaign stop in Erie on Tuesday, April 1. She will appear at Mercyhurst College, 501 East 38th St in Erie (map) at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center (campus map). You do not need a ticket as it’s on a first come, first in basis. Doors will open at 5:30 pm with her speech to begin at 7:30 pm.
