This morning's WSJ had an article stating the senate killed off the FAA bill, again, over attempts to attach non aviation spending, like NYC mass transit. The article went on to say that it probably kills the measure for the rest of this year. Anyone have any ideas what implications that might have for Erie?

I passed your question along to Erie International Airport Executive Director Chris Rodgers. His reply -
"Recent news about the failure of Congress to fully authorize the FAA means that Congress will be required to provide FAA funding through partial reauthorizations. Thankfully, because our runway extension is primarily a safety project (from both FAA and cost perspectives), and that it is already underway, there will be no negative financial impact to Erie's runway project while Congress works out full FAA authorization. Thanks you for the question!"
