Erie YouTube of the Week: Paul Lorei Studio Walkthrough

Posted by Mike on May 6, 2008

This week’s Erie YouTube of the video of week comes from Paul Lorei, a local photographer. He leads viewers on a tour of his studio and talks about some of the services he offers.

This type of advertising is genius (and he hasn’t paid us to say so). Paul’s got charisma and excitement about his product and that passion is something that is very hard to get across in a website or a brochure. The other great thing about creating a video like this is that its very cost-effective. A little bit of production and editing is inexpensive and putting it on a global stage like YouTube is a great business strategy - not to mention free.

I agree with you that web "commercials" are an excellent way to promote business! I have a web promo on YouTube (which has some images of Erie in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um1ZevxbKM0). If you have a basic program like Microsoft Movie Maker, or a slide show generator (there are tons available for a very low cost on the internet) you can make one with very little experience and then upload it to YouTube, Google Video and more.

I'm so glad I found your blog. I talked about it on MY blog today (http://www.parlezmoiblog.com).

Thank you.

Good thing you disclosed whether he paid EB for the endorsement. We wouldn't want to blur the lines of journalism and corporate sponsorship. ;)

We had him do our family portraits a couple of years ago. He did an absolutely amazing job! I would recommend him to anyone and we plan on visiting again soon.
