Erie PA News and Events for Tuesday June 10, 2008

Posted by Dennis on June 10, 2008
BetaJohn has tried and tried to get Erie Times News and GoErie to fix their problem with the employment classified links. The Help Wanted link was recently fixed to reflect their switch over to HotJobs but none of the links for the sub-categories work. Maybe one of the job listings is for help in their IT department or a management position. If someone takes the time to make that graphic and email me, they are frustrated. Please fix it.

Saturday June 14 is both Flag Day and World Blood Donor Day and the Community Blood Bank is celebrating all week with All American Flag of Erie. Everyone this week will receive a miniature American flag and donors all week can enter to win a 20-foot commercial grade flagpole and flag with installation worth about $1000. “Local patients want your help.” Said Dan Desrochers Director of Marketing and Community Relations at the blood bank, “Please show your true colors (especially your RED) by giving blood.” All donors are strongly encouraged to donate at the Community Blood Bank, 2646 Peach Street. Community Blood Bank is open from 9-6 Monday through Friday and until 7:30 pm Tuesday night and Saturday 9 am - 12:30 pm. Photo ID required.
