Erie Photo of the Week: Wayne Memorial
This week’s Erie Photo of the week is of the Wayne Memorial.
General Anthony Wayne (1746-1796) served in the Revolutionary War. He was buried at Fort Presque Isle, at the site of the Wayne Blockhouse.

northwest, ensuring the safe settlement of
northwestern Pennsylvania and northern Ohio.
Died at Erie, PA., Dec. 15, 1796
