Bishop Michael J Murphy, the former bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie passed away on Tuesday. He was 91. He became head of the Erie Diocese in 1978 succeeded retiring Bishop Alfred M Watson. Murphy served as Erie’s Catholic bishop until his retirement in July 1990. Erie Cathedral Prep has a [...]
