Today is election day. Vote. The polls are open until 8 pm. Bars and the state liquor stores are closed so Democrats have no excuse not to vote. There are two very interesting races. Winds with gusts up to 50 mph pounded the Erie area on Sunday. Fallen trees knocked down power line thought the region. Waves on Lake Erie reached 6-8 feet. Tuesday is election day. Remeber to vote. The City of Erie completed the layoffs of 15 police officers on Friday. The layoffs of 12 firefighters has been delayed until next Friday. The City faces a budget deficit of $7-10 million for 2006.
